Undarra Tunnels: Our last tour is into the Undarra Lava Tubes in the NP. One of the FNQ famous waterfalls also is worth a stop, Millstream Falls.

Our tour kicks off from Broome, Western Australia, with a Welcome Dinner and “Meet and Greet”.

This is where you will meet your fellow travellers and discuss our exciting adventure for the coming weeks. Following breakfast the next morning it is time to hit the road. Our first day of touring together will some us in some spectacular country heading for Derby, and don’t forget to look for those Boab”bottle” trees. From Derby, it’s onto the Gibb River Road for 6 days, camping on our way at carious spots including stations. Optional activities at the stations may be available for you to join. We will visit many Gorges and waterfalls as we travel through the Kimberleys. We will stay at Kunanurra a couple of days and take a cruise on the Ord River during our stay.

At Katherine we will have a chance to replenish supplies and visit Katherine Gorge with a boat trip and tour. Then head for Mataranka for a hot spring refresh, before heading onto the Savanagh Way. After crossing into Queensland we travel through Burketown and stop a couple of days around Normanton to catch The Gulflander historic train. The area is rich in mining history, with each town having displays and their own stories. Even towns that have disappeared when the mines finished. Georgetown even has a Cellestial Mineral Collection. InterpreThe Undarra Lava Tubes NP is not to be missed and we have reserved guided tours for you. In the wet season the tunnels flood so we will be there at a good time of year for viewing. Millstream Falls is a famous waterfall in the area and we will do a short hike to the falls as we pass that way. Ravenshoe has the highest alt. pub in Australia so we will check that out too, before we finish the tour in Cairns.
